The Model P333R brings high-performance Internet Protocol (IP) routing to the LAN edge with unprecedented ease of use. With the P333R, network managers can easily and simply add standards-based, Layer 3 IP routing capabilities, combined with policy-based networking and multilayer monitoring support.

The Model P333R can also be configured in two different routing modes: either as a full-fledged router, or in Lucent's revolutionary EZ2Route mode. EZ2Route is an innovative, self-configuring, IP routing technology designed to simplify the deployment of high-performance, multilayer networks. In EZ2Route mode, the P333R requires zero user configurations, either to existing routers or at the desktops, to add IP routing capability.
